Global Warming presentation main points?

Question

I am preparing a school presentation, the intended audience is to a group of high school student on the impact the computer industry on global warming, and what they can do to remedy the problem.

I have 3 points, which is
1. Turning off the computer when it is no use
2. Recycle the computer equiment
3. Make use of recycle paper

Can some one suggest some other main points? Please elaborate the reason as well, thus I can understand why it will cause global warming. Thanks!

It's fake... That's a very good point to throw in there...



I need someone to show me the temperatures in the 30's when we lacked greenhouse gases. See, if this greenhouse gas CO2 is such a culprit, then we would have been more like the moon without it. Let's say 90 degrees in the daytime and 20 degrees at night. Then with greenhouse gases retaining all of that thermal energy, daytime temperatures would be closer to the same as the night time temperatures, right? So, let's look at those numbers.



See, they don't have one shred of information even tying so-called greenhouse gases to any warming! There is no global warming caused by man. If anything, we are putting a shade over our head and preventing heat from getting here.

The is alot of misinformation regarding global warming. Here are other things to consider:

1. The earth was warmer when donosaurs were around than it is now.

2. The climate is cyclic. The earth ahs been through at least six ice ages. You have to look at the climate over centuries, not decades.

3. A glacier in South America has been shrinking since records were started in 1896. There is no proof that it was not shrinking before then. That is long before cars and computers.

4. Look at military maps over the past few decades, You will notice a shift in magnetic deviation. Humans cannot cause this. Summers are lasting later, but so are the winters. On Easter 2007, it snowed & sleeted in the Conroe, TX, area. This used to be short-sleeved weather. Today (April 14, 2008), it was 38 degrees in Houston. That is much colder than the traditional mid-60s to mid-70s. These are characteristic of the earth shifting on its axis, NOT global warming.

6. Some records indicate the earth was warmer at the time of Jesus than it is now.

7. Studies announced last week indicate that smog near the coast cause an INCREASE in ozone production. Previous studies indicated that pollution destroyed ozone, causing an increase in warming. The scientist are contradicting each other.

SUMMARY: Computers have minimal, if any effect on global warming, HOWEVER, computers do effect energy consumption. Save energy (resources) where you can. Global warming is greaty exagerrated by people looking for a purpose in their own life. Global warming is going to happen with or without humans. It's the natural course of the planet. It's already happened several times before humans were around.

Global warming is a natural cyclical phenomena. Core samples show the planet's high temperature crests and the low temperature troughs. Fear is the most sure way to make money such as the Y2K scare.

While I was majoring in Ecology during college from 1979 thru 1983, we were taught about man creating Global cooling and the up coming Ice Age. I still have text books, many written by professors. A novice may want to watch The Discovery Channel's '' History of The Earth"

series. There are billions of dollars extorted and false accolades to these false profits. While Weird Al Gore and Slick Willy Clinton frighten people into shelling out money, they themselves opened Pandor's Box with polluting trade deals and thier own hypocracy. Beware limosine liberals bearing gifts. One way to combat global warming is to keep these sothsayers from flying in thier Lear jets and collected speaking fees and other forms of double standards. Nuclear is the cleanest. Biodegradable computer batteries would be great!

HUMAN EFFECTS & GLOBAL WARMING



Global warming is but a component, in a group of destructive forces at work such as ;deforestation,desertification,soil and water contamination ,irresponsible or wasteful utilization of bio resources , air pollution,Non sustainable Agriculture,over pumping carbon aquifers



all concepts which are definitely not part of the Natural Processes of the Natural world



WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR,



The most prolific growth on this planet is part of the day in the mist and most of the time under clouds ,and the least growth is always directly in the sun .

To exchange the one for the other means changing local climates



We are exchanging Nature with Tar , concrete and open spaced mono cultures.



In 300 years half of the planets forests have gone ,and in the last 50 years half of the wet lands ,and rain forests



These Areas absorb heat during the day and release heat at night ,

Cause cloud formation(shade).humidifying the air on the surface as well as releasing excess water at the roots that keep rivers flowing ,which in turn brings more water into the Environment .

As well as contributing to absorbing carbon emissions as do the leaves of the trees together with the oceans .



All in all many factors which directly affect the local Environment .

The loss of the above resulting in rivers drying up ,less rain ,desertification,loss of habitat for many species and so on.

I may be stupid or Naive but somehow i believe that lots of these local environmental changes, can add up to affect global weather, If there are enough of them (and there are)

A cocktail of events and a lot of the ingredients have MAN written all over them



However

confusion rules the day ,i am beginning to think that SCIENCE HAS BEEN INVADED WITH POLITICS AND HUMAN EMOTIONS



The truth is being distorted at high levels,

And lies have been weaved in.



Some of the real dangers are being hidden because there are no solutions , Public could panic.and Authorities would loose control .



Besides Corporations have other priorities and changes will cause loss of profits ,this also affects the truths being published



Others facts are exaggerated so that the phenomena can be used to milk the people.



This is further complicated with Arrogance that will not admit that mankind could be guilty, or that Gods could be out of control ,unloving or incompetent



But I do not think we can make a real difference anymore to change the tide.



On a Global scale,Humanity is not co operative enough .

The poor regions have other priorities such as daily survival.



There is a lot we can do about being more responsible with what we got ,



In the first world countries many do not care or are more interested in Global Control than Global Warming.

transportation-personal transportation haz gone thru the roof.skateboards+bikes+rollerblades+etc. promote good health and reduce global warming. i dont know how to replenish our ozone but NASA should help with this one cause they poke a hole in it every two weeks.big buissness could be held responsable for their waste if government werent in their pocket.my message to u-the future,,,THINK!!! good luck with presentation my friend.
