Question:
Denialists, how would you prove, beyond the faintest shadow of a doubt, that my desk is not a shape-shifting alien?

I see a lot of denialists say things like "Scientists can't prove AGW is true". And, in a sense, they're right, but not in the sense they mean. Scientists can't actually prove anything, at all, ever. The problem is one of the unfalsifiable alternative hypothesis. No matter how solid the evidence for something is, there's no way, scientifically, to absolutely *prove* that the real explanation is not some unknown other thing, with shifting, intangible, and/or unknown properties.

So, if you had access to it, do you think you could actually prove, beyond all possible doubt, that my desk was *not* a shape-shifting alien that just happened to be perfectly mimicking a desk? If not, does that mean you'd believe me if I claimed that my desk *was* a shape-shifting alien?

Realists, feel free to state any ways you can think of that the suggested proofs, or any you come up with, could be explained away by the shifting, intangible, and/or unknown properties of shape-shifting aliens.

We cant.

But by using the wave theory's discovered & expounded by Louis De Broglie & Carver Mead I can make a very sound argument that your desk (or any solid matter) doesn't actually exist at all in the way you think it does..

As long as what you call your desk continues to hold up your keyboard & perform the functions of a desk this question is a useless exercise in mental masturbation, very much like most of your other questions.

If shape-shifting Aliens were real, how come nobody has stumbled across one or even seen one who got sloppy, Ms smarty pants?

you for the life of me cannot prove it... your toaster could also be an alien... truth is, you'll never know until it's too late...

You can't prove it. Your toaster could also be an alien. Truth is, you'll never know until it's too late.

But THESE so called "scientists" get big bucks from YOUR taxes, and they demand that YOU give a lot more money to their bosses ( government) to save your a$s from something they not only cannot prove but have been caught lying about.

Problem is YOU are too lazy to consider both sides before making a rash decision.

Liberals are an easily HERDED animal.

Well Chemflunky. The Earth's rotational speed is slowing down, give me a trillion dollars.

What? Did I forget some steps there? Maybe that the slow down of the Earth's rotational speed will cause serious problem. Maybe showing that I can actually stop the reduction with a trillion dollars???

You alarmists ALWAYS forget that stuff. You ACT like if there is global warming then it is going to cause massive devastation, thus we must give our money to the gov't to solve the problem. In fact, when you say global warming, you are not talking about some small increase in global temperature, but catastrophic devastation.

Here is the problem. You haven't shown ANY devastation.

1.) Crop production is increasing faster than population growth, while you alarmists pretend AGW causes crop decimation.

2.) While you alarmists pretend that ocean acidification is killing the coral, uninhabited locations were studied and found that the coral are doing just fine, meaning its not ocean acidification.

3.) While you alarmists pretend that AGW is causing massive droughts, there has been 0 increase in droughts globally.

4. the sea level rise is a paltry 1.7 mm/year and we are supposed to believe from the models that it will increase to 50 mm/year, when over the last 120 years it may have increased from 1.0 mm/year since the last ice age to 1.7.

5.) while you alarmists pretend that AGW is causing more extreme weather, there has been no statistically significant global increase in any form of extreme weather with the exception of heat waves with a concurrent decrease in cold snaps.

Even the way you alarmists talk about changes is incorrect. You PRETEND that wet places will get wetter and dry places will get drier, while leaving out entirely that wet places will get drier and dry places will get wetter.

You TEACH people falsehoods. You tell them that Co2 is some devil gas that is going to destroy the planet and kill all life on this planet, when the truth is that plants NEED CO2 and the ENTIRE paleoclimate record shows that more CO2 and more warming equates to more plants growth.

You have people on the edge of their seat waiting for when the next apocalyptic CO2 event is going to occur like the polar bears dying off and New York streets being under water.

When you have to deal with people like me who actually understand science, your "they don't even believe in science" argument goes entirely away.

So you have to deal with those that say no AGW because they don't distinguish between your alarmism and the actuality of a little bit of warming. So what? You think those shouting AGW are any better??? Most don't even know the difference between ozone depletion and global warming.

You are locked into the rationalist, reductionist mindset Flunky. Physical proof is not required to *KNOW* something exists. The proof can arrive to the individual via very finely tuned intuitive awareness. Develop a wide ranging auric field around your body via various types of spiritual practice. Sense the vibrations within that auric field and the messages *WILL* be received somewhere within the individuals central nervous system. Like the spine, maybe a vision in the third eye chakra, a very strong sense of *KNOWING*. Once the message is *FELT* with that sense of *KNOWING* within the individual there is no denying it. This is a spiritual messaging system that the individual has developed and finely tuned with the aether, or what some people choose to call God, the spiritual essence. Far superior to the logical/rational Cartesian reductionist approach. Some call it intuitive awareness. Others call it ESP. Whatever the label is unimportant. What is important is the development of the auric field for the individual and the *experienced* practice of connecting spiritually to receive messages from within that field of awareness.

Relating this to the desk, it would be necessary to receive a message about any shape shifting alien. No such message at this point in time Flunky.

Actually we do not deny climates do not change. We are denying that humanity is having any significant impact to global climate. It is the religious AGW cultists who cannot prove humanity is causing climate change.
