Global warming is worldwide. We are One planet with One atmosphere. And greenhouse gases spread to everywhere and raise temperatures everywhere.

In the polar regions, the ice caps are melting fast. In the USA we have severe droughts across the Western states. Powerful storms on the east coast. Severe droughts in Africa and Asia.

Everyone is affected.

The term 'global warming' refers to the rise of .6 CÂș in the global mean temperature over the past century. So global warming happens everywhere in the world.

Well global, as in planet, implies an average for the planet. Average of all locations, all weather events, over a time period. An average is a measure that reflects the planetary energy balance. When the planetary temperature increases it is called global warming, but it says nothing about a specific location.

Global can be defined as:

1. pertaining to the whole world; worldwide; universal: the dream of global peace.

2. globular; globe-shaped.

3. of, pertaining to, or using a terrestrial or celestial globe.

4. (of a computer operation, linguistic rule, etc.) operating on a group of similar strings, commands, etc., in a single step.

So as you see, global is not just here and there.

global warming is a world wide effect but places that produce high co2 amounts wear down the area around that spot faster and cause other affects besides global warming but the process is one of the same

No, global warming occurs in the whole world, hence the word "GLOBAL". You should watch the Inconvenient Truth to learn more about it. Its now available on DVD.

No. However, it can affect some places more acutely than others when it comes to atmospheric influences as the atmosphere isn't uniform. But, think about one of the properties of water though. It rises to it's own level and spreads uniformly in whatever container it's in. So, as ice melts and creates more water, all the oceans rise as they're all connected. So, as the sea levels rise, all sea level land will get covered uniformly. It's why I'm buying what will soon be ocean front property in Oklahoma.

it is not called Global warming for nothing

although people in hot,cold,or wet or low lying places are more effected ,

Mexico=deaths due to floods

India,France,Mexico,Africa=deaths due to heat waves

Mexico=deaths due to cold spells

China =deaths due to duststorms

Asia,American coastlines,Mexico =flash floods

All related to Climate Change,

there is drastic desertification going on ,in Africa,China Mexico,that is affecting Global food production ,which is exelerated by minute changes in temperature ,

i degree celcius up .means 10 % crop loss

the Sahara is growing by 7 miles a year on all sides ,

in China 2 desserts are meging and there is a new horror season of Duststorms ,900 villages are buried under the sand

all of this will affect countries who are relying on some of their food from these third world places ,so the Climate change will get them anyway .but it will hurt their pockets as food prices hit the roof.

and there is a water shortage coming which will freak the world out soon.

global warming is the biggest scam of our time.... the latest attempt by the loonies to scare us into following their agenda. If the temperature of the entire earth has increased ONE DEGREE over the past 100 years..... so what?
