All these Global Warming people make me sick! You're all unwittingly pushing us farther down the path to Global Government...

First, it has been debunked by top scientists (link below)... They show how Gore fudged the numbers in his commercial for global warming... Furthermore they prove that global warming is caused by the Sun (spots) and cosmic rays (fewer clouds)...

Second, in 2009 the top scientists in favor of Global Warming emails were hacked... These emails showed an outright discussion on how to fudge the numbers to make man-made global warming look real...

Third, less than 2 weeks ago, CERN scientists were "gagged" and unable to make their conclusions public after finding results that didn't fit the UN's desires...

Finally, just use some common sense... The Earth and the environment on Earth change from one extreme to the other throughout the worlds history... We're talking about affecting things at a cosmic level, this does not happen overnight, it happens in cosmic time, and 100 years is like a few seconds in cosmic time... The Co2 we create is minimal compared to that of what is created naturally...

I'm all for being green, recycling and what not, but don't tell me to be scared because the Ocean might rise 3 feet in the next 50 years! Oh yeah, that's terrifying, how will we survive that!

And to the people who say, "What about the sea-life, the coral?" You people must also believe in evolution, right? Well, then lets see them evolve, survival of the fittest...

And then they try to scare you with hurricane talk... Apparently the water temp rising 2 degrees will mean that every hurricane will be a category 5... Show me the science to back that up, you cant...

It's a LIE for the purposes of control, taxation, and globalization!!!!!

Pirates...The Answer to your question is to become a Pirate and help stop Global Warming

Pirates and global warming

A chart, included in the open letter, illustrating the relationship between pirates and global temperature

According to Pastafarian "beliefs", pirates are "absolute divine beings" and the original Pastafarians.[4] Furthermore, Pastafarians believe that pirates' image as "thieves and outcasts" is misinformation spread by Christian theologians in the Middle Ages and by Hare Krishnas. Instead, Pastafarians believe that they were "peace-loving explorers and spreaders of good will" who distributed candy to small children, adding that modern pirates are in no way similar to "the fun-loving buccaneers from history". In addition, Pastafarians believe that ghost pirates are responsible for all of the mysteriously lost ships and planes of the Bermuda Triangle. Pastafarians celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19.[33]

The inclusion of pirates in Pastafarianism was part of Henderson's original letter to the Kansas State Board of Education, in an effort to illustrate that correlation does not imply causation.[34] Henderson presented the argument that "global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are a direct effect of the shrinking numbers of pirates since the 1800s."[4] A chart accompanying the letter (with numbers humorously disordered on the x-axis) shows that as the number of pirates decreased, global temperatures increased. This parodies the suggestion from some religious groups that the high numbers of disasters, famines and wars in the world is due to the lack of respect and worship towards their deity. In 2008, Henderson interpreted the growing pirate activities at the Gulf of Aden as additional support, pointing out that Somalia has "the highest number of pirates and the lowest carbon emissions of any country."[35]

Global is warming really because a large quantity of the trees in the forests were chopped or sawed by the choppers ,and a huge quantity of smoke which flowed from the machines or the cars each day in the world. I always think that most of the trees in the forests were sprouted on the earth more over one hundred billion years ago. If we don't punish the choppers severely, most of the trees in the forests will be dead, and the temperature of the earth will be from 50 to 65 degree. In that time the surface of the earth will be sunken under the sea water level.

If it wasn't for global warming Chicago would still be under a mile of ice.

Unfortunately, Cro Magnon people learned how to make fire and the smoke from their campsites melted the glaciers.

According to "Inconvenience Truth" it is too late to stop the effects -- we had to have done so before 2008.

No 19 out of 20 humans are going to die before the year 2019 from hurricanes, tornadoes, Heat waves, floods and droughts.

No it's not real. And there are weapons of mass destruction. And Presidents/ Prime Ministers are actually Saints.

YES it is real. No matter how easy it is to pretend it's not for people that aren't directly effected by it as of yet. What happens if we don't do anything about it? The same as what will happen if we do. It's too late to do anything now that'll dramatically make a difference. We can postpone the effects but that's about it. You can only wish it won't happen in your lifetime as selfish as that is. We can just sit back and enjoy our lives, basking in the imminent peril waiting for generations to come.

There is no real answer to this. We're all still working with theory at this point and the science behind global warming is still hotly debated. What we think we know now will likely not be fully understood for another hundred years.

But does it matter? Even if global warming isn't real, shouldn't we still make choices that protect our natural resources and habitat, that support a sustainable community and breathable air and less landfill?

Should we only be living sustainably out of fear of global warming or because we feel it's the right thing to do?

this is in the IPCC reports. Projections are for the next 100 years to have average sea levels rise by a few feet. Ask the Dutch how much it costs for dykes.

Other projections include weirder weather, both in precipitation floods/droughts and stronger storms (e.g hurricanes) as well as higher incidence of hot spells.

we are already committed as it takes centuries for the atmosphere to reduce CO2 concentrations. If we stop burning all fossil fuels today, we're not going to see results for quite a while. So, that is the basic problem: pay today for someone in the future to benefit, or pass on the problem to your grandchildren who do not vote or have jobs.

Yes it is really happening and really is caused by humans. The so called "debates" about whether it is caused by humans are on primarily on political blogs, not among scientists. Here is some of the evidence for it.

Starting with summaries from

NOAA- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the US Department of Commerce

and NASA The National Aeronautics and Space Administration

And the National Academy of Sciences.

Then moving on to other specifics.

Don't be misled by people who claim that the current global warming is a natural cycle. They can't identify a natural cycle that is rapid enough to account for the current warming trend.

Don’t be misled by people who claim the sun is getting warmer. There is no data to support that claim.

Don't be misled by people who claim that humans can't be the cause because it has been warm before. Being warm before doesn't prove that humans aren't causing the current changes.

Don't be misled by people who claim that the world can't be warming because it is cold this winter where they are. That argument proves nothing about global averages.

Don't be misled by people who claim that global warming is all just based on models. Look at the data and you will see that they are wrong.

Don't be misled by people who cite nothing for a source, or nothing but political blogs and tabloid newspapers.

Instead you may wish to consider the opinion of the Royal Society (British)

And the opinion of the editors of Science Magazine

Global warming will not just make sea levels rise, it will also affect sea life. Corals "are intolerant of temperatures just a few degrees warmer than usual7". Small increases in the temperature can kill corals. There have been problems with corals dying in the past few years because of increased water temperatures. Other marine life may migrate northward or southward because the waters are warmer. The warm water would make them think that they were in their natural habitat, when they were actually migrating toward the poles. Food would be scarce in their new habitat.

Patterns of the circulation of sea water are disturbed by global warming. Cold water moves along the sea floor towards the equator and warm water around the equator moves toward the poles across the surface of the ocean. It is known as thermophile circulation. It is a very important process concerning ocean life. This circulation process brings oxygenated water to the sea floor. If this did not happen, "water along the sea floor would become depleted of the oxygen organisms need to survive8".

Fish, such as salmon, are also sensitive to the temperature of the water. During the summer when the water is warm, salmon have a higher metabolic rate. During the winter months, their metabolism slows down, which is good because less food is available. With global warming and increased water temperatures, salmon would have a higher metabolic rate, even if it were during the winter. Less food would be available for them and many salmon would die.

Another impact of global warming will be that some diseases are likely to be spread more easily. Mosquitoes are a major carrier of tropical diseases. Malaria outbreaks are usually confined to "where the minimum winter temperature reaches no lower than 16 [degrees Celsius]," according to the World Wide Fund for Nature, an independent conservation organization9. Scientists are beginning to notice that malaria outbreaks are occurring outside these places. They are attributing this to increased temperatures from global warming. Places such as California, Texas, Florida, Michigan, and New York have had more cases of malaria. People from these states know that the summers have been very hot and humid lately. Malaria mosquitoes thrive in hot and humid weather. Increased temperatures and more rain in some areas will cause hot and humid weather, which will allow for mosquitoes to migrate to new places and spread the disease. A study suggests that "malaria transmission would increase from 45% of the globe to 60%, if atmospheric levels of greenhouse gases reach concentrations equivalent to a doubling of CO2 since the industrial revolution10". Cholera and dengue fever are also carried by mosquitoes and thrive in warm and moist climates. As with malaria, more cholera and dengue fever outbreaks would occur because of migrating mosquitoes.

Global warming is becoming a major problem as we move to the 21st century and beyond. When more greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide and methane are released, they trap heat rays and keep them in our atmosphere. This causes an increase in temperature. Increases in temperature can do a lot of damage, even in small increases. Only a few degrees ended the ice age thousands of years ago. Another warming like that can have huge environmental effects. Changes in temperature will upset water cycles. Some areas will get more precipitation, some will get less. A warming of a few degrees would cause glaciers and sea ice to melt. This would lead to ocean levels rising and would damage coastal cities and islands. It would also cause a disruption in different species living in the ocean and increase the levels of some disease, especially ones carried by mosquitoes, which thrive in warm climates. In order to stop global warming, much has to be done. Although it is very difficult to reverse once the process is started, global warming has to be stopped if we want to live like we are now. Emission of fossil fuels by humans is a big factor in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Controlling these emissions is one of the first of many steps that we must take in order to combat global warming. If it is not controlled, problems such as the aforementioned ones, along with others, will definitely disrupt our living patterns.

What will happen is lowly places city's, especially near the sea, will flood...Many people will die, and in the end, everyone will.... When, you ask? It's already happening, but we still have time...or so we like to believe.

Don't listen to the negative idiots. No, global warming is not as real as the government want's us to think. I really recommend you watch this documentary called --The Great Global Warming Swindle--

They say the ice poles are melting and raising the sea levels, of course it is! The **** has been happening for millions and millions of years, why should it stop now? I have the best advice for you, stay positive. If you surround yourself with negative thoughts, you will see more of that reflect onto your reality. I'm not saying ignore the fact that thousands of people are dying from natural disasters etc. but just try looking on the brighter side of life, loose the confusion and enjoy life. Our minds are extremely powerful mechanisms, they can do things we can not even imagine in our wildest dreams. Did you know that us humans use only 5% of our brains?? Well, what is happening today is basically a global deception, our population is being controlled through fear and hope. We have been made to fear mother nature instead of embracing all the beauty and wonderfulness that it has to offer. Now since our minds are so powerful and everyone is thinking the same thought over and over again, in this case global warming. What do you think were gonna see more of? So ye man, just please try to always look on the brighter side of life and enjoy it, because who knows, it might be your last day alive. Must always do what you love. Peace out dude. And don't even pay attention to them negative suckas out there, they can go lick my hairy balls. I love life and I will love it for a very long time. :D

It is real.

If we don't do anything, then sea levels will rise, ecosystems will be disrupted in various ways as rainfall patterns and evaporation rates change, and so on. In addition, heat will directly affect humans and other life forms

If you were to put the details in some sort of scale you might be able to answer your own question. It is like asking does the tail wag the dog or maybe the flea on the tail causing rain in Spain. The Earth is about a million times bigger than it's whole atmosphere and the atmosphere is more than 10,000 times the size of all the CO2 which is 5 times more than the amount CO2 being considered a great danger to everything. Just think about it.
