I've searched all over the web and I have not been able to find how many attendees are at Copenhagen, and how this summit compares to the other 15 conferences.

Did the 100 developing countries walk out only because they were not going to get the funding they needed? And what were other countries reactions to their with drawl for that day.

Are any countries reluctant to fully commit to this years summit? For any reason?

And is it an accurate statement to say that we are in the midst of a world wide depression? Or should the wording of that be changed?

And is the stated goal of this conference only to prevent the expected 1.5 degrees Celsius rise in temperature?

Thank you very much for your answers!

I think there are around 119 attendees at the event. The developing countries are worried that limiting their emissions will stifle their progress. They want technology from the developed countries.

http://en.cop15.dk/ is the official website of copenhagen, which has a lot of information on what is

happening there.

The states is reluctant to commit to any targets. Again for there economy, and a lot of rich people in control are heavily invested in the energy, or other polluting sectors. In my opinion the states is lazy, anything that they are not leading they will not work with. Its all about money, is a fair statement for almost all countries.

The world was in a recession, most economies have show some (small) growth over the past few quarters which technically says we are out... but a double dip can easily happen (as history shows)

Sidenote. There is plenty of evidence to support the fact that humans are damaging the planet. The only country or people that say "No" are americans. Thats media driven by terror inducing nut jobs like Glen Beck

The number as stated was 119

With the developing countries both India and China wanted to keep the terms of the kyoto summit which included them as developing nations and gave them the ability to increase their pollution levels.

To show solidarity the 100 developing nations walked out with them in a show to keep the kyoto numbers.

The main players India and China both want world wide carbon numbers to be based upon a per person basis and not by country. This allows both of them to discharge into the atmosphere with no consequences for the next 20 years.

As I have stated before THis conference and this whole process has never been about the environment but about politics and money. The developing countries are trying to shake down the developed for money and everyone is trying to bash the U.S. .

No President Democratic or Republican has ever accepted the terms of the agreement and until the agreement is on a level playing field never should.

I consider AGW is demise due to the fact that it used to be of all the inaccurate technological know-how invovled. There is not any rationale to beelive the temps will expand via 7 levels. Nor is there any rationale to suppose that the seas will upward push via 20 meters. These are most effective justified via comp units. These comp units are damaged and inaccurate. Any pc mannequin designed to mannequin whatever as chaotic as local weather with out an know-how of whatever as relevant because the outcome of clouds, goes to result in unhealthy outcome. The .86 measure expand over the beyond one hundred years and the two mm/12 months upward push in sea stages don't undergo out the worry that the politicians have attempted to instill. Now guy is also inflicting an expand, however not anything close what is usually recommended via the Al Gore's of the sector. The truly main issue, is that there are lots of well matters we might be operating on. Take this plan for illustration: Regulate the kind of packaging allowed for merchandise making sure that they're effectively recyclable. This might make recycling extra beneficial, shrink the fee of recycled fabric, even as inflicting an excessively minor (if any) expand within the fee of the packaging. This might additionally commonly shrink the quantity of trash being dumped into the bottom. This is a win-win answer that does not have a poor influence at the economic system. It will have to take 10 years to utterly put into effect with little or no competition from both part. Why has this no longer been attempted? Is it due to the fact that we're busy debating expenses and treaties that experience little risk to make any noticable change? Is it due to the fact that the large organizations like GE is not going to stand to make a massive take advantage of such endeavors? What do you consider?

The entire hoax is about giving the governments more control over people's lives. There is not one shred of real evidence that anything other than normal cycles of ice age to warm stage is happening.

Many people are making money out of it and the leader of the pack is the Ozone Man Algore.
