Question:
If the text from the recent IPCC Report indicates that there is no connection to extreme weather, then why alarmism?

" ... Heat ‘hiding’ in the deep ocean would mean that current IPCC models fail to describe heat exchange between surface waters and the deep ocean. ... "

" ... all IPCC claims of attribution of warming to mans activities depend on the assumption that the models accurately portray this natural variability. ... "

" ... Even the text of the IPCC Scientific Assessment agrees that catastrophic consequences are highly unlikely, and that connections of warming to extreme weather have not been found. ... "

Why is their still an alarmism, when the very people in charge (IPCC) say there is no reason to be alarmed?

If the models don't work, they can not be used to show a lack of connection between global warming. We do not need computer models to know that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas.

We also have historic data, and not just computer models to show that global warming is happening

And we are causing it

The ten warmest years in the instrumental record are 2010, 2005, 2009, 2007, 2002, 1998, 2006, 2003, 2013 and 2012.

That's not text from the IPCC report, that's a blog editorial by Richard Lindzen.

EDIT: We haven't forgotten that Richard Lindzen is a climate scientist, he is one of the few that deniers pay attention to (along with Christy, Spencer and Michaels). Just why do you pay attention to them and ignore the thousands of scientists that disagree with them?

The alarmists are the ones being deniers when it comes to extreme weather. It is much easier to scare people with hurricanes than some sea level rise. Yet there is no trend in hurricanes detected. However, every time we see a hurricane or some other weather condition, they are quick to blame it on global warming.

It takes away 99.9999% of their ammo . They Blamed Climate

Change for Katrini ,Sandy , Joplin Tornado And Bernie Sanders blamed it on a Hurricane that hit Vermont . If He ever looks at history 3 hit in 1956 .

And they think Carbon taxes will fix it

Weather is so variable, and occurrences of extremes even more so, so there must be huge changes over a long period of time to notice any statistical difference. Any alarm is over the future, not the present.

It would all make sense if this wasn't about saving the climate, wouldn't it?

faulty interpretation.
