when it gets cold people use more power to heat up.

when it gets hot people use more power to cool down.

so between these two it is a wash.



global warming is a natural phenomenon, 99% unrelated to anything mankind does.

since 1895 there have ben many cycles of mania balanced equally between cooling frenzy and the

advent of a new ice age to warming and the concomitant dire results of this natural course of events

so no matter what man does in his puny little existence here on earth, the earth will continue to do its own thing regardless.

pollution is the real issue along with the threat to eco systems and the massacre of wild life especially in the oceans where man seems to think he can plunder endlessly.

species once common in our little lifetimes are being wiped out due to endless greed and population growth, now those are problems we can do something about but it is not nearly as popular as the

ethereal global warming lunacy spawned by our pal AL.

The Sun's energy affects the Earth . All changes as the Earth rotates around the Sun and as to how active the Sun is . Man with a god complex thinks he alone affects the weather and climate . All hubris .

It's all relative: I just have to critique one of Jeff M's responses; "Anything that has an increase of energy gets warmer."

Not true, any simple thermodynamics's table/ PH diagram will show pressure can offset temperature. It bugs me to no end to see amateurish blanketed generalities applied to highly complex systems.



Edit: Absolutely not... energy and mass are two different creatures. On the speculative side there should be some sort of displacement valve for CO2 though. Inert gases would be good indicators but I haven't found any decent studies on the matter.

don't tell me we can't use any non-green energy because it would cause global warming, correct? its ridiculous..you're reducing the world population through starvation.



most probably the connection you mean would happen inside a GlassHouse where Alarmists theories were based upon which is a close system but our planet Earth is an open system unlike yours.

The connection is this! The super rich, and the wanna be super rich control all the energy, and potential energy on this planet. When the super rich find a way to make money off something, oh let's call it Global warming. Or "climate change". Then the boogey man is under every rock. And it's affecting our climate. If you want research money. Say your studying fleas, and the effect they have on "climate change". You'll get the grant. If they could have made money saving the rain forest in the 70's. They would have saved the rain forest. But they couldn't, so our protests went unheard. Now whether MAN-made "climate change" is real or not we are going to feel the taxation of Robin hood, and his merry men, right to the end. Because they found a way to make money at it.

Peter has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.



Global warming is is an average increase of the planets temperature. This changes in climate in particular regions making them wetter, drier, and so on depending on the type of region. Global warming is the result of more energy being trapped in the lower atmosphere. Anything that has an increase of energy gets warmer. It does not matter if the increase in energy is due to natural means or anthropogenic means, you will get warming regardless.
